7th - 12th Grade

Our student ministries share the same mission of the church at large, to make disciples who make disciples.

Our student ministries also echo the same core values:

  • Believe Jesus: There is a difference between believe in Jesus and believing Jesus. We desire for students to not just know facts, but have have an authentic relationship with Christ.

  • Love Does: 1 John 3:18 says, "Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” An authentic faith acts. We want to equip students to do ministry, not just observe it.

  • Jesus Family: Romans 12:5 says, "So it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.” We are more than a team or club. We are family because of the blood of Christ. We strategically look for ways to build community within our student ministries.

Wednesday Nights

Our student ministries gather together on Wednesday nights for community, music, games, and a message. Dinner is available in the Mustard Seed Cafe starting at 4:30 PM. There is a special meal for kids and students on Wednesdays for $4.28.  Service is from 7:00 PM - 8:15 PM.

Student Life Groups

The purpose of Life Groups is to experience deeper discipleship through God’s word, community, and a greater sense of accountability. Life Groups are essential at SoHills for all age groups. In our student ministries, Life Groups are divided by gender and by grade. Our groups meet every other Sunday night from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a short gathering of all Life Groups in the beginning before they move to their individual Life Group area throughout City Station.

Student Events

We have events specifically designed for our student ministries.

The 78

(7th Grade - 8th Grade)

This ministry exists to equip students to develop their own authentic personal relationship with Jesus. Jr. High is one of the craziest times in a student's life, so we seek to not just challenge your student, but also affirm them and encourage them to make their faith their own.

(9th Grade - 12th Grade)

912 exists to make disciples who make disciples by reaching non-believing teens, equipping Christ-followers, and sending out ministry minded students.
