Missions We Support

The Mustard Seed Mission

The Mustard Seed Mission located in Managua, Nicaragua is a mission operated and ran by Southern Hills. The Mission houses guests for mission trips, trains pastors, hosts VBS, serves the community through various projects, and helps send local children to school all in the name of Jesus. The Mustard Seed Cafe at City Station is named after this mission.

Amazing things are ahead as we continue to expand our ministries through The Mustard Seed Mission!

Child Sponsorship

Through the Mustard Seed Mission, Southern Hills has partnered with three communities in Nicaragua: Aduana Dos, Santa Barbara, and Villa El Carmen. Each mission trip, we will visit these three communities, meeting various needs as they arise. In an effort to continue this partnership year round, people are able to participate in child sponsorships in Nicaragua.

If you are interested in sponsoring a child, email Ryn Zook or personally pick out your sponsor child in the Mustard Seed Cafe. If you’d like more info, you can learn more by going to the link below.

They provide fun, adventurous, life-changing and skill-building experiences, inviting kids to personally respond to the Good News and walking in friendship with them regardless of their response. They prepare kids for a life-long relationship with Christ and a love for His word, His mission and the local church. They do all of his while working in the community alongside like-minded adults (volunteer leaders, committee members, donors and staff).

The Holy Spirt (THS) Shelter Resource Bridge

THS Resource Bridge began as THS Emergency Shelter, a community outreach service for the homeless. Although their original mission was primarily to provide emergency shelter and related services during severe inclement weather, they decided their guests not only need greater sheltering opportunities, but also need on-going opportunities for getting showers, nutritious meals, clothing, and laundry facilities, along with birth certificates, state IDs, transportation, medical services, temporary shelter and stable housing, etc. As a result, they implemented additional programs to meet these needs.
