If it's your first time at Southern Hills, you are our guest. We do church a little differently than other places, so here are a few frequently asked questions to help you plan your trip.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early, especially if you have children. However, our campus experiences differing levels of traffic. Please allow enough time to navigate our parking, check your kids into children’s programs (if needed), and find a seat before the service begins.

WHERE DO I GO WHEN I GET THERE?

Our parking team will direct you to the closest available spot. Just follow the smiling faces in the bright green vests. We reserve parking spots for our first time guests, so if you're new to Southern Hills, be sure to turn your flashers on when you enter the parking lot.

The main entrance is actually at the back of the building. When you come in the automatic double doors, our "Welcome Center" volunteers can assist you and show you where to find the auditorium, restrooms, and children's program areas. If you need anything throughout the day—ear plugs, a Bible, or a pen—feel free to stop by the Welcome Center or Resource center.  We’re a friendly bunch and we’d love to serve you!

HOW LONG IS THE SERVICE?

Services last about 1 hour and 10 minutes. We typically start by singing a few songs, have a time of worship through offering and by taking communion, and then the speaker teaches. We usually close with a song after the teaching. If you would like to listen or watch a previous message, check out our current series.

If you’re visiting for the first time, you’ll want to give yourself a few extra minutes to stop by the "Welcome Center" before or after the service. You are very important to us! We’d love to meet you, answer any questions you may have, and give you a gift.

WHAT DO YOU DO FOR KIDS?

In SoHills Kids, children 6th grade and younger, experience Jesus on their level. SoHills Kids is a safe, age-appropriate environment where kids have their own service with singing, a Bible lesson, and small group time. Click here for more info about SoHills Kids.

We highly encourage you to check your child into an age-appropriate environment, but understand if you want to attend together as a family for the first time. For nursing mothers and children who get a little wiggling in the adult service, we offer a viewing room located just outside the auditorium where you can watch and listen to service.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Most people wear casual attire, but you are welcome to wear whatever makes you comfortable. You'll find people in everything from jeans and a t-shirt to slacks and a tie.

CAN I ATTEND IF I'M ________?

Fill in the blank with whatever fear you have about not being accepted: divorced, single parent, broke, recovering addict, gay, transgender, atheist, skeptic, etc. Everyone is welcome at Southern Hills. So come as you are, and we’ll see you on Sunday!
