Mission & Vision

We are passionate about what God has called us to do as a church.

After his resurrection in Matthew 28, Jesus commands his followers to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded.”  (Matthew 28:19-20)

Because of this, it is our mission at Southern Hills to make disciples who make disciples.

We are committed to doing whatever it takes to make this a reality in each other’s lives as well as the world in which we live.

Our mission can be broken down into three categories:

"My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Galatians 2:20 (NLT)

"Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other."

Romans 12:4-5 (NLT)

"Dear children, let's not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions."

1 John 3:18 (NLT)
